Contemporary Transformations and Sustainable Development Challenges: Cross-Disciplinary Approaches in Legal, Economic, and Social Sciences
Conference date: 12 December 2026. Format: Online via Zoom videoconferencing.
Introduction
The contemporary world is undergoing rapid structural transformations driven by the digital revolution and artificial intelligence applications, international economic and geopolitical fluctuations, and challenges related to climate change and social justice. These developments have placed growing pressure on legislative frameworks, economic policies and social cohesion, making single-discipline approaches insufficient to provide comprehensive answers to current issues.
Responding to these transformations requires the combined contribution of the three fields of the humanities and applied sciences involved in public affairs:
- Legal sciences, particularly private law and business law: The foundation for contractual security, stable commercial and financial transactions, the protection of rights and freedoms in the digital environment, and the regulation of employment relations and civil and criminal liability.
- Economics and management: Guiding wealth creation, resource allocation, business performance, financial inclusion and the transition to a green and digital economy.
- Social sciences: Providing a framework for analyzing human behavior, monitoring family transformations, assessing social protection networks and combating vulnerability and poverty.
Conference objectives
- Create an international, multidisciplinary academic forum bringing together researchers, decision-makers and professional experts from different countries through videoconferencing.
- Assess how effectively contemporary legislation, particularly in private law, investment and business, responds to international digital and economic transformations.
- Identify development and territorial challenges and propose practical economic, social and strategic alternatives.
- Develop actionable scientific and practical recommendations and submit them to the relevant bodies and institutions.
- Publish research accepted following scientific review in the seminar’s collective volume, supporting knowledge exchange and highlighting researchers’ contributions.
